I woke up this morning feeling really reflective about my yoga practice so I thought I would check in on here. The fourteenth of this month marked nine months of consistent yoga practice, during which I’ve taken over 150 classes and spent I don’t even know how many hours on my mat at home. That sounds braggy but I’m proud of how far I’ve come this year, both in my practice and personally. In so many ways I feel like I’m a different person than I was in mid-January when I started practicing yoga. 2017 has been one of the most emotionally significant years of my life in both positive and negative ways, and I’m so grateful that I found yoga at the beginning of a year when I would really need it.
The above video shows a few of my favorite poses I’ve practiced over the summer and since I’ve been back to school. This month I have finally gotten a forearm stand. My next goals are hand stands, forearm stand scorpions and press up forearm stands. November here I come!
